Organization: The Center for Victims of Torture (**CVT**) provides rehabilitative support to survivors of torture and works for the prevention of torture worldwide. We work locally, nationally and internationally through programs that provide treatment services, training, research and advocacy that heal survivors and end the practice of torture.
Position: Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) Coordinator
Location: Amman or Zarqa based, with movement between locations, as necessary.
Objective:
The IDT Coordinator position will be responsible for the ongoing coordination and implementation of a number of clinical activities. Additionally, this position will assist in a number of organizational activities involving various participants within CVT. This position will work closely with the Clinical Services Manager in the implementation of clinical workflow processes. The IDT Coordinator is an interdisciplinary position which is involved in planning conversations and providing input on key program and systems developments/discussions.
Report to: 1st Line: Clinical Services Manager (CSM)
2nd Line: Country Director
Supervises: Interpreter/translator(s)
IDT Coordinator Responsibilities
Key Areas:
1.Implementation (20%):
a. Group cycle allocation processes /work flows for clinical cycle.
b. High risk spreadsheet.
c. Orientation scheduling for new clinical staff.
2.Coordination (30%):
a. With M&E department collecting data for reporting purposes including, but not limited to, follow-up assessments (mental health and physiotherapy) and compliance
b. With Social Services Coordinator addressing high risk referrals and associated work flows.
c. With clinical staff for cycle planning.
d. With admin and operation regarding the need for written translation
e. With outreach department supporting client services indicators and objectives
f. With external/HQ visitors and clinical departments related matters.
g. With Clinic Officer on clinical caseload assignments and client scheduling
h. Coordinate with the CSM in the planning and implementation of various clinical activities (mental health, physiotherapy, social services; Trauma Rehabilitation Workshops)
i. Assist CSM in development of clinical coordination systems, clinical policy and procedure development.
j. Participate in regular strategic coordination meetings and leadership meetings with other departments
3.Reporting (20%):
a. Submit monthly reports to trainers/CSM as needed
b. Follow Up Report data and established scheduling times.
c. Client Card Intake reporting.
d. High risk spreadsheet data reporting.
e. Potential Client List reports.
4.Planning (10%):
a. Strategic planning & coordination meetings with various IDT representatives.
b. Yearly Group cycle planning with clinical staff/trainers/CSM and operations representatives
c. Trauma Rehabilitation Workshops as determined by Trainers
d. External training partnerships as determined by training manager
e. UNV case study timelines and assigned participants: staff/beneficiaries
f. Determine the capacity need for interpreter/translator(s) based on cycle planning and non-Arabic speaker team members.
5.Supervision (15%):
a. Supervise Interpreter/Translator(s), including hiring, orientation, training, mentoring, performance management, managing work assignments and schedules of interpreters in coordination with Trainers between the different work locations, and creating systems of accountability.
b. Provide HR with regular annual performance evaluation for interpreter/translator(s)
c. Support development and implementation of work and professional development plans for Interpreter/Translators(s) as needed.
6.Other tasks (5%)
a. Collaborate with other clinical and administrative staff in program and organizational development through memberships on various committees and/or during interdisciplinary meetings.
b. Promote self-care through support and supervision of interpreter staff
c. Complete any other tasks as assigned by the Clinical Services Manager and/or Country Director in a timely manner according to agreements.
d. Travel to CVT worksites as needed
Minimum Criteria
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology, Physiotherapy or similar (Master’s degree desirable).
- Displays a solid understanding and in-depth knowledge of cycle planning components to support successful completion of grant objectives and indicators
- At least 3- 6 years of relevant work experience in trauma rehabilitation and war survivors (with a good understanding of the refugee context in the region).
- For internal CVT applicants, no disciplinary actions over the past 12 months.
- Demonstrates commitment to the organization’s interdisciplinary approach in trauma rehabilitation service delivery.
- Must consistently promote and represent a humanitarian and human rights understanding of their work internally and externally, including promoting acceptance of differences and non-discrimination
- Commitment to and role modeling of human rights approach including: maintaining respect regarding any sensitive issues such as religion, minority or political affiliation and treating colleagues equally regardless of differences. Strong commitment to serve beneficiaries of CVT’s project regardless their religion, gender, minority affiliation or political background.

Qualifications:
- Must be an effective communicator
- Demonstrable effective oral and written communication skills in English & Arabic.

- Demonstrated capacity for effective time management and work load organization.
- Demonstrable analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proven flexibility and adaptability to work in challenging areas, changing conditions, procedures and/or policies, beneficiaries needs, program needs, and required tasks
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Must demonstrate and model best practices in self-care
- Demonstrable capacity to act as a role model for other clinical and non-clinical CVT staff members including in all areas mentioned above.
