Summary: The Project Manager provides leadership on project oversight-related tasks within the country, encompassing various work areas of Project Management. They will work closely with the Country Directors and management team to guide project development, activity, and monitoring by managing partnerships, providing administrative support and coordination across departments, reviewing of monthly and quarterly reporting, remaining up to date on the context in Jordan, and contributing to the design, improvement, and maintenance of program data systems.
40% Project Management
- In close collaboration with the Country Directors and management team, contribute to the selection of project partners that will benefit from the technical assistance provided. Once selected, develop and manage relationships with project partners, including through regular check-ins, consultations, and feedback sessions. Co-create project milestones and capacity-building plans with each partner, including the development of budgets and other assistance packages. Monitor progress on milestones and review incoming requests for modifications, additions, or financial assistance. Provide regular mentorship to partners on project guidelines and technical requirements to ensure compliance with donor regulations
- Design and finalize sub-award agreements and work plans with partners.
- Provide support and guidance during project implementation for co-delivery of MHPSS services with sub-award local partners
- Manage sub-award partners and ensure effective collaboration.
- Offer administrative support and facilitate cross-department coordination, particularly with the M&E department.
- Collaborate with the Jordan management team to develop work plans for nonclinical activities such as external self-care training co-delivery of MHPSS services,
- Under the guidance of the Country Director He/she will lead the governmental approval process for new grants.
- Ensure the CVT project reflects an up-to-date understanding of socio-economic context, donor trends, needs and gaps, and who does what and where.
- Provide coordination of specific projects or leadership activities under the direction of the Country Directors
- In collaboration with M&E and the CSTM, contribute to the design, improvement, and maintenance of program data systems
- Reviewing and updating monthly and quarterly program reports for donors, ensuring comprehensive documentation and reporting of non-clinical activities
- Manage assigned budgets in accordance with CVT Finance Policies and Protocols, including expense projections, tracking, monitoring, and reconciliatio
35% External Relations & Community-Building
- Under the guidance of the Jordan Country Director, the project manager will ensure that CVT is well-represented in various coordination meetings and sector working groups.
- Coordinate efforts to identify potential partners to expand CVT’s network, develop formal and informal collaborations, and increase appropriate referrals
10% Team Leadership & Management:
- Provide administrative supervision to the field-based Jordan Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. In close collaboration with Headquarters Research and program staff, coordinate time and assignments to ensure the achievement of goals.
- Model and implement best practices in staff well-being.
5% Risk Management
Contribute to project risk analyses, risk level determination, and threat matrices as requested.
10% Other Duties: Participate in other department and organization-wide activities, meetings, and training. Complete administrative responsibilities. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required education, experience, certificates, licenses or registrations
- BA degree required for international development or related field.
- 5 years of experience in relevant management and supervisory experience in an international non-governmental organization.
Preferred education, experience, certificates, licenses or registrations
- Advanced degree in international development or related field.
- Experience working in mental health and psychosocial programs

Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Project manager is responsible for providing full supervision to the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, who receive technical supervision from Headquarters.
Internal Collaboration: (Associate) Psychotherapist/Trainers, (Associate) Physiotherapist/Trainers, Social Services and Outreach Manager,Clinic Systems and Training Manager, M&E team, HR Manager, Site Coordinator, Regional Representative other regional leadership, Clinical Advisors, (HQ) International Services Program Team, Research Department.
External Collaboration:, government representatives,, Subaord partners, CVT ntework, and humanitarian agencies representatives.
Work Environment:
- Under normal conditions, work will be completed in a typical office environment with off-site meetings
- Remote working from home when necessary due to public health conditions or other reasons
- Regular work week is Sunday through Thursday
- Time spent on the computer is approximately 60%
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and see. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk and climb stairs; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift and carry heavy supplies. This position requires car travel up to 2 hours per one-way journey.
